What makes love true (dot) com

*Photo from Tiffany & Co

The name Tiffany & Co goes hand and hand with all that embodies LOVE so no wonder they would launch a new website What Makes Love True, a site that gives those in love with love a place to call home.  The website highlights great proposal stories, a short and sweet play list of some of the most timeless romantic melodies and you can leave your mark of your favorite romantic spot on an interactive NYC map.  Or maybe you haven't been to NYC with that special someone then there's a list made just for two.

Tiffany & Co has a beautiful collection called Tiffany Yours, simply classic.  A perfect gift of love that says all you need to say!

Thank you Tiffany & Co for keeping the LOVE alive!

Oscar Bling

wwSo I missed the Oscars this year....but for good reason, I was celebrating my last moments in South Africa.  What a wonderfully amazing trip but that's for another post :)  I have managed to catch up (better late then never) on all the hits and misses and of course what I really care about, the jewels that walked the red carpet.  Some of my favorites of course were......

The glowing Natalie Portman in Tiffany jewelry.  Gwyneth Paltrow added some color to her metallic Calvin Klein with earrings, ring and broach from Louis Vuitton.  And the lovely Reese Witherspoon adorned diamonds and emeralds by the legendary Neil Lane.

Emeralds played their own award winner appearances on this years Oscar red carpet.  Amy Adams (although not my favorite dressed on the carpet) glittered in a Cartier diamond and emerald lariat necklace, bracelet and diamond earrings worth more then $1 million.  I was so happy to see Celine Dion in a breathtaking Bulgari diamond and emerald necklace (just YUMMY).

And I think that the newly defined Jennifer Hudson and the always HAUTE Halle Berry just sizzled on the red carpet.  They are my definite picks for BEST DRESSED!

How better then to make a statement with Neil Lane and this beautiful white and yellow diamond ring.    And her QC Best Dressed counterpart double cuffed it with diamond bracelets and ring from none other then Neil Lane also.

And best dressed couple goes to Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves, who accented a classic black dress with Lorraine Schwartz pearl earrings.

I would love to hear your favorite red carpet "bejeweled winners" were.

Celebrities ROCK!

This past weekend was chalked full of celebrity weddings.  One of those was the nuptial of American Idol famed singer Carrie Underwood and her beau hockey player Mike Fisher. He proposed to the country singer with a flawless yellow diamond and white diamond halo engagement ring some sources say is worth around $150,00 while others report up to $1.3 million.

Carrie's now husband sought the advice of her long time favorite jewelry designer, Jonathan Arndt. The famed jewelry designer told the press that he designed this stunning diamond engagement ring because it, “is a symbol of love from Mike Fisher to Carrie Underwood."

Her ring is a beautiful classic style so I put together some similar styles to her ring that won't cause you to refinance your home.  A lot of these designs range between $13,000 - $25,000 depending on the caret weight and quality.

*Some designers are Neil Lane, Ritani and Tiffany & Co to name a few.

And for all your engagement ring needs feel free to contact me at Quintessential Consulting, we're happy to help you design your ideal custom ring.
